Ed Morrissey talked to the Wall Street Journal's John Fund yesterday about Obama's low approval ratings and his difficulty selling his health care reform plan to the public.
Fund told Morrissey that he believes that Obama's major problem is that he doesn't seem to understand that the public elected him "to fix the economy." Last year's elections weren't about cap and trade, health care reform or the 2016 Olympics, but about jobs, about economic growth.
He's right. Democrats interpreted last year's election as a mandate to push through all the wonderful far-left plans they've dreamed of pushing through Congress for years. But that isn't correct. Obama beat Senator John McCain last year because voters trusted the former could fix the economy.
